Pre-Latin Glam Carnaval Offers A Day of Indulgence In Preparation For Latin Music's Biggest Night

Los Angeles — In celebration of the upcoming Latin Grammy® Awards, The 2004 Pre-Latin Glam Carnaval presents a Day of Indulgence featuring an exclusive array of beauty products, fashion fun, delectable food and hearty spirits. Hosted by The Media Shop, this Latino-owned, state-of-the-art multi-media studio, centrally located in Hollywood, provides the perfect backdrop for the Glam Carnaval and sets the stage for excitement on Tuesday, August 31^st from 10 AM-6 PM.

The 2004 Pre-Latin Glam Carnaval is a relaxation respite for celebrities, industry heavyweights and media involved in pre-award show preparation. Co-chaired by actress/writer Evelina Fernandez ("American Me", "Luminarias") and director Jose Luis Valenzuela (Founder & Artistic Director, The Latino Theatre Company), the 2004 Pre-Latin Glam Carnival offers a casual ambiance and unique atmosphere for award show pre-pampering.

A portion of the proceeds from The 2004 Pre Latin Glam Carnaval will benefit The Latino Theatre Company (LTC). Founded in 1985, LTC's mission is to create and produce passionate, truthful, and professional world-class theater, focusing on the multifaceted aspects of the Latino experience in the United States, explained LTC members Lupe Ontiveros and Sal Lopez. Recent productions include Luminarias and the award winning feature film adaptation of Evelina Fernandez's Dementia (also produced by LTC) which received the 2003 GLAAD award for Outstanding Theater Production in Los Angeles.

The 2004 Pre-Latin Glam Carnaval, produced by The Bergman Organization and Lisa Cocuzza Public Relations, will offer exclusive on-site treatments which include makeovers by celebrity make-up artist, Michelle Doan of Emani Professional Cosmetics, skin care products by Rachel Perry, Inc., hair styling by Bodywealth, relaxing massages by Vitality Health Center, manicures by China Glaze and for those with child, Motherlove will be on hand with nurturing life products. Enjoy premiere beauty products from BTG Cosmetics, 95° and Sunny, Bye Bye Blemish and more. For jewelry aficionados, couture designers of The Sossi Collection will have their unique diamonds on display.
