Certified B Corporation - As B Corp put it” B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk.” To obtain the B Corp Certification, companies undergo a rigorous process of meeting social and environmental standards, while providing accountability and transparency to their customers. B Corp companies are able to solve social and environmental problems by considering the impact of all business-related decisions. The goal is not just to function for profit but for people and planet as well. Meeting the highest of standards, consumers have confidence that the B Corp companies they are purchasing from have their best interest in mind. Simply put - B Corps lead a growing global movement of “people using business as a force for good”. ™
Certified USDA Organic - One of the most common certifications on store shelves is the Certified USDA organic seal. This seal assures consumers that their food and product’s ingredients are grown and processed according to strict federal guidelines. Organic ingredients are assessed based on soil quality, animal raising practices, pest and weed control, and use of additives - such as coloring. Produce can be called organic if it’s grown in soil that has no prohibited substances applied to the land and crops for three consecutive years prior to harvest.
Kosher Certified - For a product to be Kosher Certified, the item needs to meet the requirements and restrictions of Kosher Law, ensuring that items are considered ritually pure, genuine, clean, and authentic. The process for certification examines the individual ingredients and how they were farmed, as well as the production and preparation process for the final product. Kosher facilities are inspected periodically to verify that methods and procedures are being maintained to Kosher standards.
Non-GMO Project Verified - As one of the fastest growing labels in the natural product industry, the Non-GMO Project Verified seal provides the reassurance that there are no genetically modified organisms present in the product. GMOs are defined as novel organisms created in a laboratory, using genetic modification and engineering techniques. Ingredients are tested individually, ensuring that the DNA is intact from the very beginning of the process. This allows for traceability, ensuring that ingredients maintain their quality and purity, giving consumers peace of mind.
Certified Cruelty Free - Cruelty Free International has created The Leaping Bunny Certification Program, an international gold standard for non-animal tested consumer products. The certification can apply to cosmetics, personal care, and cleaning products that comply with the Humane Household Product Standard Criteria. Products that have the leaping bunny image leave the consumer confident that the item was produced ethically and cruelty free.
