Blessed Thistle

Why we love it:

Blessed thistle has been is known to be an herbal galactagogue (known to support breast milk supply), as well as a digestive bitter. Its one of the main herbs we use in our More Milk line of products to help support breast milk supply.

Though blessed thistle has been recognized to aid in lactation, it shouldn’t be used while pregnant. You should also use caution taking this herb if you have a sensitive stomach from gastrointestinal conditions.

What it looks like:

Blessed thistle has fuzzy leaves and stems with small yellow flowers. The thistle is specifically noticeable by its pink-colored spines that form a protective barrier around its flower. Blessed thistle is usually harvested for its flowering blossoms, leaves, and stems.
